Maybe let them out – next Spring?
We are considering letting Jazzy and Tansy roam free – starting Spring 2010. The ‘matter’ is still under consideration – but, if so, we will not clip their toe nails from January onward, so that they are properly equipped for outdoor living.
Update . . .

What's a load of washing for, then?
It strikes me that it’s some time since I posted anything about the terrible duo. You may have thought they’d devoured me, and well they might. But, so far, it’s only my patience they’re gobbling up.
Jazzy and Tansy are well. They still have their mad moments, especially if they spy a fly, and then anything subject to gravity moves to a new location!
Howling no more!
Jazzy has not been howling since she was spayed on 05 December 2008. Tansy was also spayed but never produced that demonic sound.

Hopefully, this will keep them so busy that they will leave the house alone!

cat on a hot lamp
Have recently re-fitted a ’strip lamp’ wall light which we removed, about twenty years ago, to make way for a large, now sold, book case. Have put glass over the lamp and it is on this that the cats now sit to get warm, and where Tansy was when this photo was taken.

Car run is bolted to terrace
The resurrected cat run has now been anchored to the terrace with several large bolts. Also a few more screws have been put into the frame – just in case! So, blow wind blow!
Cat run reinstated
The team came today and rebuilt our wind damaged run. Until anchored to terrace, have put several paving slabs in in an attempt to prevent it blowing away again. If windy tonight, Linda and I will go out and hang on to it!
Cat Run re-assembly today
Cat Run assembly team expected here today. Sun is shining – and no wind!

Cat run (re)assembly tomorrow
Cat Run Assembly Team (CAT) expected here tomorrow to reassemble wind traumatised run. Then, next day, terrace man coming to have a go at anchoring the run. Hope we don’t have high winds for couple of days!
Cat run is down!
Today, our (kind) neighbour helped me to disassemble the mangled cat run – must get him a ‘thank you’ bottle of vino. Have emailed the people who made the run to find out if they will put it together again. Hope so!
